* PART 2 *

Mucho Bravo Busby Berkeley is also known as The Big Baby, Busby,
and sometimes Mr. Silly Busby Boy.
He is truly the most endearing, loving, joyous dog on the entire West Coast of The USA
(or maybe anywhere on this big continent!).
Everywhere we go, Busby makes friends immediately
- he has such a big heart and just adores children, adults, other (small) dogs -
and everyone who comes his way.

Busby is the ambassador to The Marina Green in San Francisco,
which is on the beautiful San Francisco Bay,
looking out to the Pacific Ocean through the lovely Golden Gate Bridge.
Every day he gets a good run there, stopping to meet people,
have "chats", and dance for whomever will watch him, on his back legs.

He has met many people who come to visit from all over the world,
and is happy to entertain them all -unless Ma gets talking TOO long
and then he grabs the leash and pulls on it:
TIME TO PLAY!

"cool dude resting..."
Busby lives with me and his big sister, Emma the Big Boss Cat.
At 16 years old, she is also known as Emma the Empress, Emma the Queen, and also Emma the Alpha Dog.

Emma came off the streets many years ago, abused, neglected, hungry and a wreck.
Underneath all those troubles was a beautiful, regal big girl,
so full of personality and intellingence one cannot help but bow down- which we both do.
She is very much in charge of both of us!

"Here's my kind of cat, Ma - stuffed!!"
Emma and Busby hang out together- they take turns taking over each other's beds
and sharing a big chair and ottoman.
Since Busby was a little guy, Emma has been his personal dog-sitter when I am away for short times,
and I always come home to perfect order
(well, maybe a shoe or sock here and there- but never any destruction, just two sleepy babies on the bed).
"What a catch! Can't you throw it closer, Ma?"
Somewhere in this journey through his many lifetimes, Busby must have been a Lab.
He finds balls everywhere, in hedges and in flower gardens,
and carries any ball he finds all over the neightborhood.
He loves to play kickball as we walk, and down at The Marina Green.
He also adores his many toys, teasing me to toss "Duckie" or "Little Bear"
(all of whom he brings by name)
and then running off down the hall before I can get hold of the toy to throw it for him to chase,
which causes him to bounce away with pleasure.

Busby and his sweetheart, Emmapug

Busby did very well in Obedience, which he began in Puppy Class and continued until he was 30 weeks of age.
It was good for him to get his energy focused on the positive, as he can be a bit of a devil, too!

I am crazy for my Big Baby, Busby.
I just love it when someone says: what a happy dog, what a handsome boy,
what a beautiful coat of hair he has, what a great disposition, so friendly and nice.
My friends and family say "oh he is even cuter than his pictures",
for which he gives them lots of kisses in gratitude.

YES! She loves MEEEEEE!!
Both Emma and I are forever grateful to Mirabell and René, for bringing such joy into our lives.
Busby is the big and only brother of Fanny and Jojo.
He is sweet and totally silly and he has absolutely stolen my heart away.

The Queen at 16!
and even dented Ms Emma, who wishes to remind him, however, that at almost 16...
DON'T MESS WITH ME!

On February 7, 2004, at the Marin Humane Society (San Francisco, USA)
MUCHO BRAVO BUSBY BERKELEY
passed the
AKC GOOD CITIZEN EXAMINATION!!
We are so proud of both Busby and his owner Janet Berenson!
We send huge congratulations to both of them!
Janet is now going to prepare Busy to become a therapy dog
for children with special needs,
such as autism or several disabilities
or those in foster care because of physical or sexual abuse at the hands of adults
helping to teach them trust through the love of a dog,
which Janets feels Busby has and wants to share.
We cannot think of a better "job" for this very special Havanese
and his very expert owner!
You go, dear friends!
