IZZY

D.O.B. May 22, 1999
When I first contacted Mirabell, we did not know much about the Havanese
and over a few months Mirabell educated us about them.
We had shown Labrador Retrievers for years
and were looking for a smaller breed to add to our family.
When Izzy was born and Mirabell kept sending pictures of her and her littermates
we knew this was it; there was not a turning back.

From the moment that Izzy got off the plane our lives have never been the same.
We were bitten by the Havanese bug.
Izzy is extremely intelligent, and was practically housebroken when she got off the plane.
She had not even potty in her crate coming all the way from the Netherlands.
Izzy has not only stolen our hearts,
but of all family members that come in contact with her as well.

Kim with Izzy

Both of our daughters Kelly (17) and Kim (15) have taken Izzy to school for different school projects,
and of course Izzy ends up stealing the whole show.

Izzy likes to walk on her back 2 legs across the floor,
and if you ask Izzy she will tell you she is quite good at it.

Izzy loves to go to dog shows.
When we are getting ready (we travel in a motorhome) Izzy will run right out to the motorhome
and sit on the coach until we are ready.
And sometimes it is hours packing,
but she never gets tired, because she knows sooner or later we will be ready
and she doesn't want to miss going.
We can't thank Mirabell and René enough for this wonderful girl;
she is the joy of our whole family.

PIPER

D.O.B. December 18, 1999

After getting our first Havanese from Mirabell and René we knew we had to have another.
This time we wanted a boy.
We were looking for a boy we could show and special once he got his Championship.
We had no idea how nice he was going to be.

When we got him off the plane, Piper was one of the family.
He looked at us like "come on guys lets go home".
Piper is so outgoing; he loves life and everything it has to offer!!
Piper even takes the not so fun things very well, like baths and grooming.

Izzy and "Piper the bee"

He sometimes thinks we are crazy, when we dress him and Izzy up in customs,
but he never complains.
The first time we took Piper into a show ring,
we knew what he was born to do,
SHOW,
that could be his middle name!

The moment Piper is in the ring he puts it on, he loves to show.
Piper has the correct movement of a Havanese and he knows how to use it.

Pipers coat takes a little more care than Izzy's, but we can't complain,
he has a very, very gorgeous red sable coat.
And his coat did not fade; it was stayed as dark as when he came.
Piper has been a dream come true,
we feel so lucky to have gotten him;
he is everything a Havanese should be.

We want to thank Mirabell and René for doing it again
and sending us a wonderful addition to our family.

Sandy and Kevin McCabe have been very successful over the past year -both in breeding and showing- with their Labrador Retrievers.
