Jojo doing what she loves most !

crazy about all kind of games !

December 2005
5½ years old
Jojo is a daughter of Cuby and Usa, and a very happy-go-lucky girl.
She is always having fun, and always in the best possible mood.

She will retrieve everything we toss for her,
and plays with every toy we give her.
Although Jojo is an "granny" now,
she still acts like a very young puppy!
That's why we gave her the nickname "Bébé",
which is what we call her most of the time.

ALWAYS HAPPY!
The daily walk in the forest is one of her favorite things to do.
The moment she gets out of the car, she begins to run,
and keeps running all the time, for well over an hour.
And after this "walk" Jojo isn't even tired one bit!

René has been doing agility with her.
She very very much enjoyed it, and performed well too.
Unfortunately due to lack of time that's over now

March, 2003
We cannot imagine any dog enjoying life more than Jojo does,
day in day out.

Jojo, fastest Havanese 2003!
Jojo did it again in 2004!
April 20, 2008:
Havanese race 2008
THE FINAL RACE!
Left: Mucho Bravo Jojo Dudeljo ready to start.
Won by......

MUCHO BRAVO JOJO DUDELJO!!!!
FASTEST HAVANESE 2008
Not too long before the race Jojo had delivered and raised her last litter of 8 puppies,
of which the last one left not yet two weeks before the race.
She appeared to be in topcondition,
and beated many much younger competitors. amongst which some big boys.
Jojo couldn't compete after 2004,
because either she was in season or had puppies to take care for.
This was the first time she was in on it again.
And wow, she was *f*a*s*t*e*r* than ever before!!!!
MUCHO BRAVO.....just that little bit more!

For some time it didn't go so well between Spekkie and Jojo.
Dear family de Vries, thanks for the wonderful life you give Jojo.
Of course we thought something like this would never happen with us,
2009 started really bad for us!
Usa always has been the "alphadog", but at this old age (16!) she doesn't care about that anymore.
Spekkie and Jojo could not decide who became highest in rang now.
Although Spekkie did not care that much about this, Jojo did.
Spekkie, who is 4 years older than Jojo, didn't accept this just like that.
And so they both had these "bitch fightings" now and then.
As long as one of us was around, nothing really bad happened,
as one yell to "STOP IT" was enough to quit quarrelling.
Because not a dog doubts about that we are boss overhere!!!
Our dogs have lots of freedom though, and can go into our big yard whenever they want to.
And without one of us being around, they have totally different rules!
And so it happened that on New Years Day some of the dogs were outside in the yard,
while we were for a short time (15 minutes at the most) somewhere in the house where we couldn't hear them.
Somehow a fight must have started, in which our Spekkie had become severely wounded.
We'll never know what exactly has happened, but that we couldn't take this risk any longer, was painfully clear to us.
Spekkie was hurt so badly that she needed lots of care for several weeks, she even almost died,
and besides that she was almost 12 years old already.
For this we decided to find another home for Jojo.
Our always happy-go-lucky sweet cuddle-girl Jojo,
friends with everybody, our ball crazy playmate, our race-monster,
our "ambassador" for the breed,
because everybody who met her fell in love with her immediately !
"Everybody wants a dog like that", is what so many people told us,
and we had her to leave us.
Jojo always has been a "people dog", young or old, she gets along with every person she meets.
She never has been charmed with other dogs though
Although she always has been a super mom for her puppies.
She left on January 31, 2009, which caused us lots of heartache.

However, we are also very happy and most of all very very grateful
that we've found the perfect place for Jojo with family "de Vries".
Three kids to play with endlessly.
Going for a long walk every day, on the beach, or in the dunes or forest.
Always a lap available or someone to hug with.

The very first grooming session with her new "boss" Yvonne.
Always someone to play with!

Long long walks, where on top of this they play Jojo's favorite game:
retrieving balls!!!

In the mean time Jojo's coat has been shortened a bit,
so she can move more freely and can run even faster.
We couldn't wish for a better life for Jojo than she has now!
And Jojo....feels being at home totally!
This makes missing her a tiny bit easier to bear.
We hope you may enjoy each other for a long time to come!!!!
And of course we stay in contact.
just like all the other people who experienced something similar thought it wouldn't happen to them.
We know so much about dogs, and we can guide everything into the right direction. Not.......
And although we heard many stories, we also thought this hardly could happen with Havanese. Yes, it can....
In the mean time we realize this can happen in every breed, in every pack of animals.
When you are not around, it's the "law of the strongest" that counts!
When two alpha girls start a fight and none of the two can give up being "topdog"
there isn't much else you can do than replace one of the two,
or one day something real bad will happen,
and they might injure each other terribly.
Sad, but very true!
