CUBY AND HIS LITTERMATES
He was whelped March 10, 1997
and after a very long trip arrived in the Netherlands on June 2, 1997.
He is bred by Bianca Guerra-Lopez and Guido Serrano.
Cuby has an excellent background.
Both his parents are Cuban Champions, as well as his grandparents.
One of his grand dams even has the title "Gran Campeón de Cuba".

We imported Cuby with the hope that his "fresh blood and new genes"
would do a lot of good to the breed.
Shortly after he arrived we received many inquiries for his studservice,
because many breeders understood the inportance of adding more genes to the very limited gene pool of the Havanese.
As we hardly knew anything about his background,
he never stood at stud.
We've only used him on very limited base for our own girls.
We are extremely happy with him.
Cuby was very sweet and lovable, and had a happy and outgoing personality.
12 WEEKS OLD
We owe a lot of thanks to Barbara Benerson and Zoila Portuondo.
We thank them for the trust they put into us,
but also because they made it possible to make our dream come true.
34 WEEKS OLD
Cuby, exactly one year old. These pictures are taken on his birthday.
On September 18, 2000 Cuby went to go living with Ria (and Jan) ten Hove, who have one of his sons, Blits.
Cuby was not able to endure it when the girls were in heat;
every time this occured, he would stop eating almost entirely.
He became so thin that it was of great concern to us.
Therefore, we made the difficult decision to part with him,
and let him live with someone who would provide a reliable and caring home for him.
Ria met all of our requirements, and so happily for us all, she became his fosterparent.
We could not have found a better home for him.
We thank Ria and Jan that they gave him such a wonderful life!
You'll always have a special place in our hearts, just like Cuby.
